Mission Dolores :: NYC Beer Gardens

 Mission Dolores

Reclaimed is the word that best describes Mission Delores, a beer garden built in what was formerly an auto body shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The space is long, separated by passages that swing or accordion into one another, ending up in a glass topped greenhouse room. Almost everything used to create Mission Delores is made from recycled materials, which lends to the rustic, industrial ambiance of the space.

Atmosphere aside, Mission Delores has a decidedly down-to-earth approach to beer. At any given moment they have 20 beers on tap. Most of the selections are American craft, with a few Belgian and German imports. The revolving list is posted on the bar's blog. One-part beer garden, one-part American bar, Mission Delores brings in those who just want to chill with their beer to party animals to the crowd that loves vintage pinball and video games, many of which line the exposed brick walls.
