Radegast Hall :: NYC Beer Gardens

 Radegast Hall

Brooklyn's most well-known beer garden, Radegast Hall, is located in Williamsburg and it seems to be perpetually busy. Radegast has a bar area, but most patrons opt to sit in the hall with the picnic tables and the retractable roof, which lets the sunshine pour in during the warm weather seasons, and which keeps out the cold with heat lanterns in the chilly months. Although it's been hailed as the hipster beer garden by the New York Times, Radegast Hall is actually an authentic beer garden, with schnitzel, excellent beer, and a laid back atmosphere.

Radegast Hall is also famous for their cover-free live jazz on Wednesday and Thursday nights. With the music and beer flowing in equal abundance, it's hard to resist the charm of Williamsburg. Throughout the week, they offer special food and beer pairings from 5 to 8pm. Radegast is first come first served, but there's plenty of seating if you come before 9pm.
